Food Prep with Snapware *Giveaway*

I have written countless posts on food prep (I will link them below) because I truly believe preparing food is vital in the pursuit to eat well and focus on your health.

We are all busy. And yes, cooking takes time. But hard boiling some eggs, roasting potatoes and maybe even chopping a few veggies makes a world of difference – and certainly does not take an eternity.

But once you have all of this awesome, delicious, good-for-you food prepared, where do you put it? Containers. And trust me: you’re going to need lots of them!

I have quite the variety of containers (in all shapes and sizes) and while I am slowly but surely transitioning to glass storage, I am seriously impressed with Snapware’s plastic food storage.

They are BPA-free and totally air-tight with their four-latch locking lids. Super easy to open and close too! They are also safe to use in microwave, refrigerator, freezer and dishwasher and are made in USA.

Don’t just take my word for it…

  1. Every week, my spouse and I make a combination of batch-cooked beans, kombucha, energy bars, homemade veggie broth and a pile of roasted veggies. If we’re feeling extra adventurous, we’ll start prepping some of the food for weekday meals!

  2. I food prep ALL my meals for the week. It’s so easy to cook on Sunday and have everything to eat set out for the week. I also love storing overnight oats in tupperware. I think it’s great that the Snapware items are microwave-safe!

  3. Happy New Year! I hope that your wrist is healing well. These are great containers! I try to prep all of my veggies for the week plus I usually make a batch of quinoa that takes me through the week with various dishes. I am always looking for more containers!

  4. I usually meal prep proteins for the week and some sides (starches) or even some healthy treats so I can just grab and go during the week. Then, I’ll take a few minutes to prepare my veggies and salads fresh everyday. Meal prep is just a necessity!

  5. I love having fresh chopped veggies and fruit for the week. I also portion out yogurt for snacks and prep overnight oats for breakfast. Other weeks I’ll make a frittata or steel cut oats to eat through the week.

  6. Making boiled eggs and prepping steel cut oatmeal ahead of time and then freezing it is pretty much all I manage right now. Not too good at this.

  7. I love doing all my meal prep on Sundays! It makes me keep on track and saves me a bunch of time during the week nights. I usually hard boil eggs, cook up a protein and carb for lunches, oatmeal packets and fruit/veggies prepped. Thanks for this awesome giveaway : )

  8. My go to prep foods are chicken breast, hard boiled eggs, marinated crockpot pork, and sometimes batches of overnight oats. Love the four latch locking lids of these containers!

  9. Love prepping hard boiled eggs because we find mornings are hardest as we are both out of the house early. Also fresh veggies, that are a quick and easy grab to add to any lunch or snack.

  10. I try to prep lunches for the week, cut up veggies to snack on and boil some eggs. While I’m spending Sunday doing that and a listening to a podcast or three, I also make dinner for Monday and Tuesday.

  11. I vary my food prep from week to week depending on my schedule but I always have hard boiled eggs, shredded chicken, and cooked quinoa prepped and ready for quick healthy meals!

  12. I love the carry ones and the divided ones for our road trips. We have 4 sons so we pack a lot of food! It’s usually an 8+ hour drive so everyone gets their own “plate” to eat from. It keeps me from hearing “I’m Hungry” the entire trip. Lol

  13. I like to have chicken, boiled eggs, bacon, shredded cheese and chopped veggies prepped and waiting in the fridge.

  14. My main thing is soup — we’re very into squash-based soups, which, with beans blended in, make a very filling meal!

  15. I love prepping cold salads the most. Sometimes I use rice, cous cous, or pasta, and then I load it up with colorful veggies and a homemade dressing.

Thanks for the chance to win!

  16. I wash and cut up veggies every Sunday for the week ahead. Peppers are a must as my daughter likes them with hummus a few times a week in her lunch.

  17. I love meal prepping frittatas for the week, and protein cheesecake for a little sweat and healthy treat! SO yummy :)

  18. Steamed carrots, green beans, mushrooms, celery and Napa cabbage are my favorites. I add boiled egg from our backyard chickens or cubed cheese for protein. I finish it off with yogurt or cut up apples or a handful of berries. Thanks for the chance to win!
