Confessions of a Workout-Clothes-a-holic {Flow-active Review & Discount Code!}

Hi, my name is Amy and I am addicted to workout clothes. Yup. True story.

Some women buy shoes, some women buy purses, some women buy bags… I buy workout clothes.

I guess there can be worse ‘addictions’ right? Right. There is just something about an awesome sports bra with a billion colorful straps or adorable capris with a fun pattern that motivates you to get into the gym and lift up the barbell or get on your mat and into tree pose or lace up your sneakers and hit the pavement: cute outfits get me excited to get in the gym and feel my best in my skin!

The semi-materialistic reality is that clothes can do that for you – guilty as charged.  When you feel good in your skin, and in your clothes, you very literally ‘wear it.’ So rock that confidence!

I talk a lot about food, fitness and health, but I truly believe that having clothes that fit and flatter you are so important in all of this – they have the ability to make you feel confident and wonderful!

I have a few “go-to” clothing brands based on functionality, comfort, price and appearance. When I find something I like and that works, I often buy a few. But I am also always on the lookout for new brands and stores.

I first discovered Flow-active through friends and I totally fell in love with everything the company stood for before even seeing the website, the store or trying on any of the clothes they carry: the promotion of a healthy, active lifestyle through products that are responsibly and ethically made (no sweatshop labour!) and almost all made in Canada (yay Canadians!)

When I saw how cute everything was and how comfortable everything felt, it was seriously hard not to max out my Visa right then and there.

Finding clothes that fit and work for multiple activities isn’t always easy. I need pants that are stretchy and don’t ride up for CrossFit, tanks and long sleeves for running that don’t cause rubbing, breathable outfits for yoga and functional bras for everything.

After spending a lot of time with the Flow-active team and trying out clothes for all of these activities, I can tell ya first hand that they deliver. My faves are:

I’m also obsessed with the Flow-active Instagram account (<– CLICK to follow them) – they totally inspire me to work on my yoga practice. I am determined to work on my back flexibility for hollow back handstands!

  1. Beautiful photos! I love new workout clothes! It is easier for me to shop for cute and comfy workout clothes than office work clothes. I wish I could go to work in my yoga pants. Maybe one day.

  2. All these pics are gorgeous Amy. I’m the same way about workout clothes vs. literally most other things. Every time I go shopping I always end up with something for working out… Feeling confident from the inside out really does effect how I feel and how I perform, so the money is well spent
