Weekly Meal & Workout Plan: September 1 – 7

Hi everyone! How was your Saturday? I can’t believe it’s September… where did the summer go?! Don’t want to talk about it…

My friend Kevin and I had a blast at Color Me Rad yesterday!

CMR start

We are a bit competitive and finished 1 and 2 (Kevin beat me in our sprint to the finish!) in about 21 minutes.

CMR Finish

I took the longest shower afterwards and Kevin can tell you that getting the color in your mouth is not pleasant… but well worth it! I have officially caught the running bug… more on that tomorrow.

I don’t have much of a meal plan this week — the short work week and Jewish holiday celebrations are throwing me off. So, my food is pretty, well un-planned and minimally prepped. No worries, that happens sometimes. I still stocked up on lots of fresh fruits and veggies, Ezekiel bread, chicken and beans to keep my tummy happy. But I am recipe testing tomorrow so stay tuned if successful!

Weekly plan

Meals & Snacks

  • Protein oatmeal
yogurt, granola, cereal & fruit for breakfast
  • Chicken, spinach and loaded veggie salads for lunch
  • Pizza recipe test… fingers crossed!
  • Wingin’ it (and I’m not talking about chicken…)

Sunday: Sprint & ab workout

Monday: Run: 10km

Tuesday: Yoga

Wednesday: Run: 6km

Thursday: OFF

Friday: Insanity

Saturday: Run: 12km — say what?!

Hope you have a fabulous Sunday!

Do you ever take a break from your weekly plans?

What did you do yesterday?

  1. I really want to do a colour run. I’m hoping to do it this year, last year I was going to but it sold out. Checking out your protein oatmeal recipe now!

Yesterday I went out to a nice dinner with my boyfriend and did a 15km run in the hottest weather we have had in a whilst.

  2. Can’t wait to hear what you have to say about ‘the bug’. I’m interested that you plan your weekly workouts; I might try it in the upcoming weeks because I’ll be so busy!

  3. The colour run looks like it was a blast! There’s one in Hamilton in October so I’m crossing my fingers my knee will be good to run it then.

Even when I meal planned regularly, I definitely took the occasional week off. Sometimes it felt good to just wing it!

  4. I’ve always wanted to do a colour run! I missed out on one this summer because I wasn’t paying attention to registration :( but I’m hoping that I’ll be able to do one next year. And I’m super interested in what you have to say about the bug because I’m kind of hoping to catch it myself!

    Happy Sunday, lady <3

  5. I have no idea why, but I have tried to follow you on blog lovin so much and your posts never showed up! I am so glad it is finally resolved and I can see your posts everyday! :) Can’t believe you came in 1st and 2nd :) How awesome!! Congrats! I can’t wait for our color run in a few weeks :)

  6. Love the photos. Looks like the two of you had such a great time! I just checked out your protein oatmeal, and I must say the recipe sounds delicious. I may just have to make that for a snack one of these days… It may just be the perfect flight meal too =)

  7. Congrats on another awesome race! It looks like that was so much fun. I really want to try a color run at some point. Enjoy the rest of your weekend pretty girl!

  8. That colour run makes me so excited for the one which is usually on here In november I think…better look up on it! I’m interested to see this new running post you have planned- I’ve always considered running so hard to mentally gear up for! And yeah, 12km SAY WHAT indeed? Perfect post insanity workout ;)
